Joining the Board early in 2019, Ruth’s appointment follows a a long and experienced career as Director of Corporate Services for the Rural City of Wangaratta . Her 25 year career with the council covered areas including Finance, Information Services, Customer Services, People and Culture, Media and Communications, Governance, Risk and Insurance. She is a resident in Everton Upper and enjoys participating in local sporting clubs. She brings a wealth of finance management experience to the Board is helping build the Foundation’s position in Wangaratta.
Encompassing 26 years in the Global resources industry, Fiona has worked across a range of business functions including strategy and planning, exploration and operations, multi-country project development and approvals, due diligence and assurance processes, crisis management, and organisational change. She lives locally in the Alpine Shire and brings her depth of corporate social responsibility and community grant making experience to her board position.
Peter Ahne – Accountant (Buffalo River) Born in the North East (Benella) Peter was a Westpac employee for 14 years being Branch Manager for 5 years.
With a strong local business and real-estate background John has held a career in body corporate management and real estate. He has served on multiple community and corporate boards over the years including Wangaratta High-school and Wangaratta RSL, Omeo District Hospital and Pangerang Community House. He is also a current Director for REI Super. John brings with him a strong background in governance, finance and community networks. He joined the Board early in 2019.
Paul Ryan is the Director of the Australian Resilience Centre; a private enterprise that builds the capacity of regional communities and institutions facing uncertain futures.
Loretta Carroll lives in the community of Mudgegonga producing beef and meat sheep.
Sarah Thompson joined the Foundation in April 2018. Sarah has a strong background in community philanthropy, grant making and community development.
