Garry Nash & Co. Community Grants Announced
After establishing the Garry Nash & Co. Community Fund earlier this year, the local real estate agency is ready to give back through its inaugural grants round, opening 6 December 2021.
Thanks to the Garry Nash & Co. Community Fund and their donors, funding is now available for small community grants for charitable activities across the Rural City of Wangaratta.
Grants of up to $2,500 will be available for charitable organisations and projects that fall within the following areas of interest:
- Housing and Homelessness
- Natural Disaster Relief
- Health and Wellbeing
Applications will open online on Monday 6 December 2021 and can be accessed via the Into Our Hands website. The grant round will be open throughout the summer, giving local organisations plenty of time to apply for support. Applications will close at 5pm on Monday 28 February 2022, with funding to be announced in March 2022.
To be eligible for one of these grants, proposals must be submitted by community groups or organisations that operate in the Rural City of Wangaratta. Groups applying will need Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR item 1) status, have an auspice/ financial partner with the appropriate status, or be willing to work with an auspice that Into Our Hands could suggest
About the Fund
The Garry Nash & Co. Community Fund was set up as a sub-fund of the Into Our Hands Community Foundation in July 2021 to mark the company’s 40 years in business and to continue their long-standing history of supporting the Wangaratta and district area. Through Into Our Hands, their fund can pool local donations, offer tax deductible donation options and be supported to make grants back to the community. Read more about the fund here
